Health In All Policies Banner

Many city departments create policies, make programming decisions, and develop plans and projects that impact our physical, social, and economic environment. Healthy St. Pete is aiming to make the healthy choice the easy choice through healthy public policies that create a supportive environment enabling people to lead healthy lives.
Healthy St. Pete along with our partners, the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County, City of Pinellas Park, and Pinellas County Government, have joined together on a grant funded by the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg that focuses on adopting a health framework to planning for projects, programs, and policies. By adopting a Health in All Policies (HiAP) approach, the city recognizes that all departments have a role to play in ensuring everyone has the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.
