May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Healthy St. Pete has partnered with the NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, to offer education classes and support for individuals and families faced with mental health needs. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. HealthyKids Partner Feature: Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital
Healthier Together Ambassador, Mallory Carteaux, has helped to kick off the Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital's Fit4Allkids program. The program provides wellness education to kids, teens, and their families and includes education on nutrition, mental health, sleep, and physical activity through a variety of hands-on activities. Coloring book featuring physical activity
Healthy St. Pete teamed up with the St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department to bring you an interactive coloring book for kids to do with friends and family. As you read the book, follow along to try out the activities mentioned. This is a great way for families to stay active and healthy together. Health360 is Back… and VIRTUAL
Our Health360 program offers nutrition education, obesity prevention classes, family cooking experiences, financial wellness, and social-emotional learning opportunities. Classes have transitioned to VIRTUAL for this fall session. All sessions are FREE and include a FREE $10 produce voucher with every class attended. Class size is limited and registration is required. All classes are evidence based and instructed by industry professionals. Partner organizations include Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, BayCare, University of Florida IFAS, and more.
