Join our new LGBTQIA+ Support Group

By Rhenelle McSween-Navarro, Community Health Specialist

Healthy St. Pete is thrilled to announce a new LGBTQIA+ Support Group starting on January 9th and continuing the 2nd Thursday of every month! This initiative, in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the USF St. Pete Pride Alliance, offers a safe, welcoming, and supportive space where individuals can share their stories and connect with others in the community.

Taking place from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the USF Student Life Center, Room SLC 2100, this group provides the perfect opportunity for participants to find strength in their experiences while learning wellness tools to support their mental health and overall well-being. Whether you’re looking for a community to lean on or helpful resources to navigate life’s challenges, this group is here for you in a zero-judgment environment.

This support group is free to attend and is open to both USF Students as well as community members. Come be a part of a group that celebrates identity, encourages wellness, and offers a welcoming space for all.  We look forward to seeing you there! Mark your calendars for our next group coming up on Jan. 9th, and every 2nd Thursday after that!
